She looked the same as she ever did. A big smile on her face, red lipstick. I hugged her and cried and cried.
I've missed you so much, I said. I could smell her perfume (flowery, a little too strong) and I knew my face was snotty and wet against her shirt. I didn't care. You've been gone so long, I sobbed. But it's like you never left.
I know, she said.
I know you're dead, I said. But I don't care, I'm glad you're back.
