My hair is now back to normal. I dyed it again a couple of weeks ago, and it's back to its original shade of dark brown. No more red punk halo. Woo!

Sadly, my hair is still boring, boring, boring. I need a new style. Badly.

...

It's gorgeous outside. One thing I love about working from home is that I have two huge windows in my office. One looks out to the street, the other onto the side yard. When it's warm and sunny out, I leave the windows open, and the breeze is just delicious. Everything's blooming in the garden. I love spring.

I have a strong desire to plant something in the backyard. When I was a kid, my dad planted a little vegetable garden in our yard. He planted squash, asparagus, tomatoes, and strawberries. It was frustrating for my dad, because our dog, Tika, would jump over the fence he'd built around the garden and eat everything. She was a smart little dog.

"She always waits until everything's perfectly ripe," he'd say. "I say to myself, 'In one more day, I'm going to pick that tomato - that's when it'll be perfectly ripe.' I guess she's thinking the same thing, because she always beats me to it."

That still makes me giggle - the thought of my dad and Tika battling it out to get the best stuff in the garden.
