Last "Writing" Class Tonight

The above picture is from the Korean War Memorial in D.C. I get a big kick out of signs that misuse quotation marks. This weekend I saw two good ones, but I didn't have my camera wth me. One was at the Good Earth, a restaurant on Ventura Blvd. It said: "Please ask for 'token' for 'parking meter.'" I told Dave I wanted to go up to the front desk and say, "I am a 'customer.' Can I have a 'token' so that I may 'park'?" The second one was at a sandwich shop: "We will be 'closed' on 'President's Day.'" So... maybe they were open, I don't know. Hee. I know take far too much pleasure in shit like this.
