I've been storing up a couple of things I want to post, but as we are crazy busy at work, this will be a boring recap of my weekend.

The highlight of my weekend involved fondue. Surprisingly, when I mention fondue to people they have very strong reactions. I have no idea why everyone doesn't love it. "I don't like having my food come to me without being cooked already," one person said. That's a valid argument, but dude. Your life must be boring. Try stepping outside of the box once in a while. And one of D's coworkers said fondue was "gay." Whatever that means. I told D he should not speak to that person. That person clearly has issues and is very stupid.

Anyway, if you do not love fondue, you are insane, because this was one of my most favorite meals ever. Delicious, soft bread cut in cubes to be dipped in a lovely, creamy cheese sauce. That alone! But no, save room for the main course, which is Filet Mignon, lobster, ahi tuna, scallops and marinated chicken, all cut in bite-sized pieces and brought to your table with various dipping sauces of every kind of delicious flavor you can imagine. Whoa. It's like a circus in your mouth, I'm telling you.

And I haven't even told you about the dessert. Lordy. Cheesecake, strawberries, pineapple, bananas, marshmallows and brownies, all dipped in chocolate. But not just chocolate. You can order the "turtle" chocolate, which is chocolate with caramel and nuts all swirled in it. The cheesecake alone was so good I almost passed out.

Reading back over this entry, I realize that food might be just a leeetle too important to me. It's only my vanity that keeps me from weighing 310 pounds.

We saw Scary Movie 3. OK, but not great. Some good moments but nothing mindblowing. We saw Mystic River. Dreary. Sean Penn cries a lot. I don't recommend it.

Hmm... what else did we do? Oh, I gave my written notice to Ghettoridge, so it's now official that I'm moving in with D. I had a mild panic attack on the way to the leasing office to turn it in but I reminded myself of my new resolution to embrace change, and I have recovered quite nicely. I think.

Mmmm... fondue.
